Stand Up Paddleboard Lessons And Rentals
Stand Up Paddle Surfing is a traditional Hawaiian sport which promotes balance, strength and general fitness. It's excellent for surfers and non-surfers alike, as it provides an isometric workout that strengthens your core muscle groups, while giving you a fun and exiting way to view the natural surroundings.
Take a SUP-lesson from one of our experienced teachers, or let him/her take you on a SUP trip (we really love it!) or go out by yourself on one of our brand new rental boards.
SUP Rentals
- - 1 hour: 100R
- - Half day (4 hours): 300R

Kite and Surftrips
Here at Mystic, we love the wind and waves just as much as you do. So, we are always on a quest for the best spots with the best conditions to ride. We love to organise roadtrips along the South African Cape to just rip waves, ride superflat lagoons and chill out with a nice braai. If you're in, we're in!
Paragliding
What: Paragliding is something you have to do in Cape Town. See the amazing area from out of the sky and fly like a bird.
Cape Town is one of the most spectacular and beautiful places in the world to paraglide. Lion's Head is the site that we fly from most commonly because of its location and the stunning views of Table Mountain and the Cape Town area. However, there are many flying sites in the area including Signal Hill, Sir Lowry's Pass (just past Somerset West), Franschhoek (wine area) and Hermanus. Tandem paragliding instructional flights are a great way of getting into paragliding or just experiencing the joy of freeflight. Flights last anything from 10-30mins.
Why: just imagine the view…
Skydiving
What: Feel like a bird and fly in the sky. A 15-minute drive north along the R27, from The Mystic House you will find a drop zone that boasts one of the best views in the world from altitude.
On the way up in the aircraft, the view is breathtaking. To the South, the Mother City lies sandwiched between towering Table Mountain and bustling Table Bayharbour. Further to the south, and to the far side of the mountain, lies False Bay, Hout Bay and the splendour of the South Peninsula as far as Cape Point. To the West, you will spot Robben Island - Cape Town's own Alcatraz - and the Atlantic breaking on the beautiful Cape West Coast, as famous for its waves and wind as its mouth-watering crayfish. To the North, the Langebaan lagoon, a great kitesurfing and windsurfing venue.
Why: Great adrenaline kick!
Shark Diving
What: We are working with the only PADI Dive Centre in Gansbaai and we specialise in Great White Shark diving and viewing. No diving or swimming experience is needed to partake in the daily activities.
Our experts specialize in locating and diving with Great White Sharks and we guarantee that your Conservation/Education Experience will be jam-packed with excitement. The company we work with is internationally renowned for its above average and exceptional success rate. They do most of the documentaries for National Geographic and Discovery. Check out the owner Mark Rutzen aka Sharkman on youtube!
Why: It's not only exciting but also educative. These guys do loads of research to protect and help with the conservation of these great animals.
Tip: Let us book a nice but cheap guesthouse nearby Gansbaai (Hermanus or Gansbaai) so you don't have to get up early early to go there.
Combine your trip with a visit to Hermanus to see whales and kite the lagoon…
Where: Gansbaai, 2,5 hours from The Mystic House
Wakeboarding and Water Skiing
What: No wind today? Go for a good wakeboard or waterski session at the cable or the real thing; behind a boat. Practice new tricks or try/learn it for the first time. Nice warm water and a cool place for swimming, rock jumping and a picknick.
Why: with no wind this is good fun to do and good for practicing new tricks.
Where: The cable is situated on the beautiful slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, a stone's throw away from Sir Lowry's Pass and the Hottentots Holland mountain range, overlooking Strand, Gordon's Bay over False Bay to Table Mountain. Blue Rock is the ideal venue to make your next outing a truly unique and memorable experience.
Abseil Cape Town
What: Step off the top, at a 1.000 metres above sea level, and rappel into pure vertical space. This is the world's original highest commercial abseil. You are surrounded by awesome views and the deep blue Atlantic at your feet.
A thrilling experience of adrenaline and achievement: a 112 metre controlled descent off Cape Town's magnificent Table Mountain. Booking can be done daily on a time that suites you.
